History

Cranfields is owned by Valerie Cranfield who established her first store in Wellington, New Zealand in 1991.

Valerie has developed a unique style of retailing by focusing on a variety of beautiful pieces  from all over the world suitable for your home or as lovely gifts.  She has an instinctive eye for the best, the unique and the unusual.

The stores have a loyal clientele throughout  New Zealand and overseas.

In 2008, Cranfields won the New Zealand regional section of the worldwide competition called the Global Innovator Award (gia) for excellence in homeware retailing. 

20 countries participated with a regional winner from each.

In March 2009 Cranfields won the overall Global Innovator Award in Chicago. The photo shows Valerie accepting the award from Mr Derek Miller, Vice President,  International Housewares Association, Chicago.
